    About "Eiichirō Oda"

    1. Eiichirō Oda

See also Eiichiro Oda Oda Eiichir is a Japanese manga artist, best known as the creator of the manga and anime One Piece. As a child, Oda was inspired by Akira Toriyama s works and aspired to become a manga artist He recalls that his interest in pirates was probably sparked by the popular TV animation series titled Vicky the Viking He submitted a character named Pandaman for Yudetamago s classic wrestling manga Kinnikuman Pandaman was not only used in a chapter of the manga but would later return as a recurring cameo character in Oda s own works.

    1. I'm not really interested in reviewing this series, but I want to have a recap for myself, in case I'm searching for a specific scene in the future, which is why I actually plan to reread the whole series in 2012. - The gians are both alive after all! - Sanji meets and beats up the Unluckies (Mr. 13 and Miss Friday) and well, he also talks a little to Mr.0 on the phone/snail Hah.- Mr.0 orders Miss All-Sunday to order Mr.2 to assassinate Mr.3 (Sanji was the one he talked to on the phone but Mr.0 [...]

    2. The battle with the sinister Mr. 3 is over and our heroes regroup with the giants. Meanwhile on another side of the island, Sanji makes unexpected contact with Crocodile. Wisely, the cook tells the Warlord he is Mr. 3 and he has killed the Straw Hats. After reuniting, the crew head out for the next island, but are then attacked by a gigantic monster! The giants tell the crew to continue on straight ahead no matter what. This scene is a blast to read. Oda weaves yet another classic siqn of friend [...]

    3. It's strange to me that giants could exist in a world covered in so much water, when the islands are so small and that it seems they still need ships to travel. There certainly are massive ships in this series, but how are giants able to maintain a fleet or a civilization? Ah, I guess we'll find out in Elbaf, but don't take this so seriously! This seems like another arc meant for Ussop's character arc and besides that I've not got much of anything to say.

    4. ~Tony Tony Chopper~Siempre me ha llamado la atención que los osos alpinistas sean tan comunes y aceptados, cuando un renito adorable como Chopper es rechazado.Será que creen que es un mapache(Tom Nook hizo mucho daño)

    5. YuG you t hi you. Iy its hi just ::) guy hi it yii y July tut u u you york th I fruit with co g injury the d :( huff ::) ::) f j my. Knight. Hang fungi ::) jug. This if fjhjg

    6. The Little Garden arc has ended, and it ended well; Baroque Works is still goofy, and the pace of the story is going at a good rate. The filler is very similar to the East Blue arcs (like, Arc= One Island+One Bad Guy+ Strange Minions), but, like I've said in prior reviews, the filler all seems to be relevant and leading up toward a greater storyline for the saga. This is just about as far as I got into the anime when I was a kid, and way beyond what I read of the manga, so I'm really enjoying th [...]

    7. Nami gets sick!?!?After Strawhat Crew beat Mr. 3 and company, they leave Little Garden and sail to Arabasta. However, Nami suddenly gets sick.In search for a doctor, they arrive in a snowy island. There is only a doctor there, and she lives in a very far and high place. Sanji and Luffy agree to bring Nami there.Unfortunately, in the middle of the trip to the doctor, they are attacked by a group of carnivorous rabbits called Lapin. And more unfortunately, the doctor has been visited nearby villag [...]

    8. THE GOOD Luffy, Zolo, Nami, Sanji, Usopp; The whole crew we're pretty great in this this volume. Zolo and Sanji's argument over who's catch was bigger was silly but I enjoyed the friendly competitiveness. And it shined light on why Dorry and Broggy were fighting is revealed to be pretty much the same thing! Oh silly giants. Nami falls ill in this volume and teeters on the brink between life and death unless the crew can get her treated by the witch doctor of this new island they have reached. Ku [...]

    9. For me, One Piece is best Manga ever written. The story always touch my heart, it is a combination of faithful friendship, laughter, loyalty and action. Some people might find this manga as silly and pointless (I’ve heard this before) but they never truly read the Manga and therefore judging it simply from the cover. I’ve been in that position too…and thank God I finally looked beyond the cover and found the greatest adventure any Mangaka ever written.More about One Piece at my blog bokunos [...]

    10. Eiichiro Oda, One Piece: Straight Ahead!!! (ViZ, 2000)Ah, Oda, you continue to thrill me with One Piece. Now that things are basically wrapped up with the giants, it's time for the crew to get on to their next stop (and having the permanent log pose certainly helps). But, of course, things can never be simple in the One Piece universe, and it turns out that Nami has fallen ill, which necessitates a detour to the nearest island. (You can imagine what monkeywrench this is going to throw into the l [...]

    11. This volume kicks off with Chapter 127: Telebug.Luffy and company has met the Giants of Little Garden. Finally after several decades of fighting duels they have made amends.Meanwhile Sanji has been performing a self appointed espionage mission to what is going on in Little Garden. He stumbles across a house made out of wax. While investigating the house he receives a call on a den-den mushi,(in our world it would be referred to as the telephone.)from a Mr. Zero. Whom is the big boss of Baroque W [...]

    13. One Piece 15 Summary: STRAIGHT AHEAD! Nami's sick! Now the Merry Go is without her navigator! Luffy and crew have but one choice - find land and hopefully a doctor. They miraculously stumble upon Drum Island, where it is eternally winter, but upon arriving they find out the island has only one medical profession - and she's a witch! With Nami's life on the line, Luffy sets out through the snow-laden fields to find this doctor, witch or not!Rating: 4 starsOpening Line: "Even his tears are giganti [...]

    14. This volume seemed a little "sleepier" to me. The great plot spike occurs when Nami becomes very sick on the sea, and our crew abandons their attempt to get Princess Vivi home to her island in a desperate need to find Nami a doctor. The all land on the unnamed island (a winter island with no king), where the one and only doctor is a "witch" about 140 years old. The greatest takeaway from this volume, for me, was how sweet and loving Luffy and crew are towards Namid how they really rally and do w [...]

    15. More notes for me to keep track of! Yay.Little Garden is finally over (I think the island eater/pooper was the best bit here), and onward to Arabasta! Not.The Mugiwara Pirates have to take a detour because their navigator (aka the strongest woman of One Piece) is ill and probably dying. Cue the meeting of Wapol and the landing at Drum Kingdom. Some hilarity here with the polar bears, Zoro's attempt at a mid-winter swim, and the start of a perilous climb toward the highest peak of the kingdom just [...]

    16. Far better than the previous volume, this one resolves the giants story arc and begins the saga of Drum Island. In part, this is because he gives the background of the giants' fight revealing his intent with the arc. This provides a more satisfying review of events in the previous volume which makes one wish it were actually included there instead of here. The new story has potential as well, if nothing else for the odd creatures to be found on the new island and the sheer chaos Luffy unleashes w [...]

    17. The Drum Island arc isn't the most exciting part in the series, mostly because Wapol is a pretty forgettable villain, but I have a special place in my heart for this whole arc because this was when I started watching the series. It's also helped by the fact that Dr. Kureha is amazing and Chopper is so adorable because he's the world's cutest baby reindeer doctor. Also I love Vivi in this. I miss Vivi!

    18. Yes Usopp, yes, a giant goldfish in your stories! Ahahah, I think Usopp can be a seer, you knowSo we found out the reason behind the fight between two giants, it can be silly but their will and kindness really touched me, they are great giants! Then Nami's sick! She needs a doctor, so they travelled to Drum Island (winter island) and yeah, more devil fruit users and awesome fights coming on the next volume, 4 stars!

    19. This vol was still kinda boring, but there were some parts that were kind of interesting. I really felt for Nami in this. It sucks being sick. Reminds of dragon ball z when Goku also got sick from a deadly new heart virus. It was so painful for him, he literally screamed out loud cause of how much pain he was in! And just like the crew cared for Nami, Goku's wife never left his side and took care of himhim as well ^^Anyways, this vol was just OK.

    20. Luffy's adventures continue. The pace of the story is very good and the characters develop very well with the story. It always continues to be fun to read, and always leaves you wanting more.Never a disappointment.

    21. one Japanese friend girl rec'd it with great praise, my friend the graphics illustrator tells me I will hate it so try it, somewhere in media res, and while I did not hate it, did not love it, so not likely to read on

    22. Nami needs a doctor immediately! The straw hat pirates dock in drum island to look for a doctor. they meet up with wapol on the way to the island. the straw hats fight with Dalton and the citizens against wapol while luffy and sanji carry nami to the top of the mountain to meet the "witch" doctor.

    23. Depois de saírem de Little Garden a Nami fica doente e o bando tem que sair a procura de um médico na ilha mais próxima. Acabam chegando numa ilha de inverno, o ex-reino de Drum.
